According to leaked footage and screenshots from the German site winfuture.de, Microsoft has plans to add multi-desktop features and a notification center to the next version of Windows.

If you’ve ever used a Mac or Linux computer before, you probably know what Multi-Desktop is. It allows you to switch between different desktop environments with just a few simple clicks. For example, let’s say you have two Full screen apps that you don’t want to minimize, with multi-desktops, you can easily switch between the two different environments without having to minimize the applications.

Windows 9 will also come with a Notification Center. This will allow users to go back and look at previous notifications that appeared on their computer (Similar to the notification bar in OSX).

More information should be coming out later this month as Microsoft is planning on releasing a “technical preview” to developers and manufacturers towards the end of September. I’ll be sure to update you guys when more news is available. Until then, what would you guys like to see in the next version of Windows? Post your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below.
