(Over)Analyzing - An (Over)Analyzation of Pink Floyd's Animals.

Just a quick warning, when I say a song is about something, it's just my opinion.

General Overview and History
Animals is the tenth studio album by British band Pink Floyd. The album was followed by a tour titled In the Flesh, where the frontman at the time, Roger Waters spit at a fan, a true sign of alienation from the band and the audience. This would later inspire the band's eleventh album, The Wall. Animals is also loosely inspired by George Orwell's novella Animal Farm.

Pigs on the Wing (parts 1 and 2)
Pigs on the Wing is a two part song that is vastly different from the rest of the album's other songs. The first portion is about separation, possibly between loved ones. The song is so lyrically short, it's hard to decipher.

Dogs
The next song, Dogs is how about lying to literally everyone you meet to get higher on the political/social ladder has terrible, terrible consequences. It leads to, in the end, being dragged down by the weight of your constant lies.

Pigs (Three Different Ones)
Pigs criticizes political big wigs who do things that benefit a select crowd. The last verse is about one politician (who I cannot remember the name of) who tried to ban all sex in the media in the UK.

Sheep
Sheep is a song I've found sort of hard to place. It's halfway between blind following and rebellion. This song is the one that borrows the most from Animal Farm, with the sheep attacking the farmer before they get slaughtered.
