No, I don't want to help you move, random stranger. Oh HEY, someone said creating time and matter is proof of god because creating time requires a purpose and therefor a sentient being.
Well certainly something triggered something to create our universe. Weather it was the random bouncing around of "nature" in a higher dimension or if you'd like to call it God. I still don't know why things exist period, but I don't think it's really proof of God, in the sense of a "sentient" being that we can connect with.
Someone else said dabbling in mysticism is a way to understand "God". Is mysticism blasphemous? I mean what's wrong with trying to understand and experience nature so long as you are humble towards God? As long as it doesn't lead you away from God.
But is that even possible? Think about the Tower of Babel. It made Man arrogant and focused on themselves and the tower. And any focus towards themselves, is focus away from God.
What's wrong with arrogance and hubris? Don't assholes get ahead?
Yes they do, but to an extent. There are countless myths and tales of overestimating ones abilities, and doing terrible things and getting themsevles and other's killed. and terrible deadly things are not in Man's intrest, therefore "bad." The City of Atlantis destoryed itself so did: Lucifer, Icarus, George W. Bush, the REAL version of Hercules. So God smashed that tower for their own good.
But how does that connect hubris/arrogance to "God"
The teachings of God come from wisdom, which is parallel to humbleness. and as stated above, controlling one's hubris is important for Self/human-preservation. Man was created to live so living is "good" which runs in consistency with the wisdom of God; Therefore God is good. So by this logic, touching god is not important; being with him is.
There's a image/impacttext/meme that shows a moon landing picture with text mocking the Tower of Babel story. I think the creator of this misses the point of the story. Man went to the moon to study the moon.
No, man went to the moon to outdo the Soviets in their quest of superiority. The same type of arrogant and reckless quest that lead to the creation of the atom bomb.
So, is God real then?
First tell me WHAT God's nature IS so that I may judge if he is real
I don't know, touche. Is word wrap in notepad just a format illusion?
I'm not sure but probably yes, because it would break the plain txt protocol as we know it.
At least I won't have to keep updating two versions of my resume.
